Internet Connection Wizard
Step 1
From the desktop,
double click
Internet Connection Wizard.
Select the second
option: I already have an existing
Internet account.
Click
Next.
Select the first
option: Select this option if you are
accessing using an Internet service
provider.
Click
Next.
Under Which method do you want,
select Connect using my phone line.
Click Next.
Step 2
If PC Magic has an icon in the list of
connections shown, select
Use an
existing dial-up connection, then
highlight Vinet, click
Next,
and go to step 2a.
If there is no Vinet icon shown, select
Create a new dial-up connection,
click Next, and go to
step 3.
Step 2a:
In the next window, select
No to keep
the present settings for your connection to
vinet, click Next, and skip ahead to
step 4.
Step 3
Enter your local dial-up number. After
entering the dial-up number, click
Next.
Enter your username and
password in their respective boxes.
Remember to use
lowercase letters and numbers only.
After entering your information, click
Next.
In the next window, select
Yes
to change Advanced Settings, and click
Next.
Make sure PPP is selected, and
click Next.
Select I don't
need to type anything when logging on
and click Next.
In the IP
addressing window, select
My ISP automatically
assigns me one and click
Next.
In the DNS servers
window, select
My Internet Service Provider
automatically sets this when I sign in.
Click Next.
In the Connect name box
enter Vinet and click
Next.
Step 4
Select
No when
prompted to set up your mail account. You
may either use the Vinet web interface
for Email or use a 3rd party email program
such as Outlook Express. Click
Next.
Select No when prompted to set
up your news account. Click Next.
Select No when prompted to set
up your Internet directory. Click Next.
